Past Activities
Film Project
The young people wrote, scripted, acted and filmed a film short on the dangers of cold-water swimming.
They were supported by Nat Wilkins and Jonah Maurice of Canny Productions, a north-east film and video company with strong local links - Nat and Jonah are from the Allen Valleys.
Anna Harrison, a youth worker who also performs as a solo musician, leads our Young Notes choir which met for rehearsals in the school. Young Notes has performed at the Allendale Fair, the Folk Festival, and the Agricultural Show as well as concerts in the school.
North Pennine Young Voices
This project, funded by Youth Music, lasted three years and worked with young people from Allendale, Haltwhistle, Bellingham and Haydon Bridge, coming together as one big choir. Working with professional vocal coaches, it led to full technically supported stage performances at the Queens Hall Hexham.
